Our God has made Himself both known and knowable in the Scriptures, which are His authoritative, inerrant and infallible Word.
The Lord intends for His Word to be understood by His people with the help of His Spirit. To this end He has gifted some to preach and teach the Scriptures. We believe that this ministry is a primary means of discipleship, as the Word of God is boldly proclaimed and clearly explained.
If the waters are murky, they might only be 2 inches deep but we won’t be able to see what’s beneath. When things are clear, we can see the beauty beneath, regardless of its depth. Likewise, when clarity is brought to the text, we can seek to explore ever-greater depths as we grow in our understanding of, and love for, our great God.
As we endeavor to lead God’s people deeper into His Word, so we find a correspondence with how high our hearts are lifted in praise.
The deeper we go in our understanding, the higher we soar in our worship as we respond to the greatness and goodness of God with hearts of wonder and adoration, and lives of obedience and devotion.
